SYNOPSIS:
‘The Worth of One Word’ is a chapter in Sam’s life, a turning point. He wakes up on the side of the road with no recollection of how he got there. His car is there so why was he outside of it? Stranger still is when a clearly out-of-place pay phone rings only to be his wife, Lisa, on the other end. Sam initially is selfish, rude, and dismissive. Imagine waking up hungover in the middle of nowhere; nobody wants to have serious conversations in that headspace. However, Sam finds himself stuck in a bit of a loop. His car, a stretch of road, and a diner are all he can reach. His plight pushes him to admit to himself what he needs to say to Lisa. The question then becomes: will he be able to say it?
