This year marks the debut of the Live Conversation & Chelsea Icon Award, co-presented by Deadline, is a new honor created to celebrate artists whose work has left a lasting mark on stage and screen. The inaugural recipient is Jessica Lange, an actress whose decades-long career spans searing dramatic performances, era-defining film roles, and a body of stage work that has earned her recognition as one of the great performers of her generation.

Lange is currently starring in the screen version of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night, further cementing her standing as one of the most compelling interpreters of great dramatic roles. She will be honored with the award as part of a special live conversation event, where she is expected to reflect on her career, creative process, and the roles that have shaped her legacy, including this latest performance.
