Synopsis: It is in a France that aims to be exemplary in terms of respect for human rights that Claude Jean-Pierre died in December 2020, 10 days after a gendarmerie road check after which the 67-year-old retiree was hospitalized in a quadriplegic state. None of the gendarmes involved are being prosecuted by the courts despite complaints filed by the victim’s relatives and despite video surveillance images which show an incomprehensible outburst of violence against the Guadeloupean motorist. 6 months after the George Floyd affair, the affair should have mobilized the media and French public opinion. On the contrary, the affair goes unnoticed.
