Synopsis: At 40, Sarah is forced to confront a painful truth: she’s trapped in a marriage held together by the faded illusions of love. As her 13-year-old son begins to navigate the turbulence of adolescence, the dangers of staying—emotionally and psychologically—become impossible to ignore.
Seeking refuge, Sarah relocates to a long-abandoned estate, a place suspended between past and present. Surrounded by the remnants of other people’s lives—and armed only with her lifelong obsession with Pride and Prejudice—she begins to reimagine her own story. Through archetypes she’s long admired and secretly lived by, Sarah starts to rewrite the narrative of who she is—and who she might still become.
In this liminal space, mother and son begin to unravel old wounds and rebuild trust, connection, and a vision for the future. What begins as escape becomes a powerful journey of healing, identity, and the radical freedom to choose a different ending.
