Synopsis: Brenda Mitchell appears to be holding her life together, a steady job as an LPN, a modest home, and a daughter she’s determined to see succeed. But behind her calm exterior is a woman consumed by the fear that her only child, Lydia, may be slipping out of reach. When Lydia earns acceptance into an elite university but falls short on the funds to attend, Brenda sees hope in an upscale boarding house offering scholarships and job opportunities for promising young women.

What begins as a promising start soon unravels into a maze of whispered rules, strange disappearances, and the unnerving charm of the house’s director, Dr. Millie Thorpe. As Brenda’s determination to protect Lydia seemingly leads into an unhealthy obsession, lines blur between motherly instinct and dangerous suspicion. Each choice pulls her deeper into a world where nothing is as it seems, and the closer she gets to the truth, the more she risks losing everything.
