SYNOPSIS:
In the wake of his estranged father’s death, Jim Acosta a U.S. Marine goes to Havana to learn about his father’s past. He discovers that his grandfather, Mario, is still alive and the owner of a boxing gym in Havana. Jim convinces Mario to train him and a bond is created that will change them both.
DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:
Robert Pietri started as a designer and art director, working at some of the most celebrated Design firms in New York, Los Angeles, and Berlin, before graduating from NYU’s Graduate Film program.
Robert has several short films to his credit including FLIGHT TO SAVANNAH (winner, Carl Lerner Award—Best Film of Social Significance 2007). As well as writing and directing, Pietri has been working on other film and media related projects. His commercial clients include Pure Digital, Inc., the City of New York, and TORAY.
SEMPER FIDEL is his first feature film, and he is in development/production on several others.
