SYNOPSIS:

Mother of Sorrows follows handsome Dr. Ted Maple and his wife, Marlie, who seem to be the perfect suburban couple. When Marlie falls mysteriously ill, Ted is a devoted caregiver, tending to her every need, especially making sure she takes her pills. But when Marlie begins skipping her medicine, she starts to notice things that lead her to doubt her own sanity as well as her faith in the good doctor.


DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:

Kristin Verbitsky is a native New Yorker who studied undergraduate film at the University of Miami and went on to get her Masters at Tisch School of the Arts’ Dramatic Writing Program. Mother of Sorrows is Kristin’s directorial debut. She currently lives in Soho and consults her French Bulldog, Dexter, whenever writer’s block strikes.
