SYNOPSIS:
In 1978, inspired by a short article in Sports Illustrated, a small group of Georgetown freshman started a fantasy football league. Thirty-eight years later, that same group continues their tradition with one of the oldest ongoing fantasy leagues in the world. Despite being on the forefront of a multi billion-dollar industry, these friends stay motivated by their enduring friendship and the pure joy of busting each other’s balls.

By visiting with the league members and reflecting on their thirty-eight year fantasy football league, The Legion of New North is a short documentary that examines the bonds of tradition, camaraderie and friendship at the core of one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
